The Long and Short of It

Because I leave for Jersey tomorrow (yay!) and probably won’t be able to do much with my blog until I get settled in Ocean City on Saturday, I thought I’d leave you with two posts on writing to check out:

The Great American Pause giving us permission to take our time with writing–this is encouraging to me. I just began a new WIP, as some of you know, and told a friend the other day, ‘I think this one’s going to take me a while to write."

On the other hand, The Sophomoric Slump talks about the demands of the market. Once you get published, books (especially genre) need to release within a certain time period so that you’re not forgotten.

What do you guys think?

Happy National Fiction Day!

In light of fiction reading, writing, and ‘rythmatic (okay, so not so much the ‘rythmatic)…

For those of us addicted to writing in the first person, I found the blog post challenging:

The Dangers of First-Person Narrative.

Good stuff to keep in mind.
