This makes me think of our participation in the Passion: for God to make a new creation out of us requires the death of all our self that is separate from Him.
I was being much more shallow and thinking of all the work I’m going to have to destroy in order to make room for the good stuff. Ha!
I’m glad you brought this up! It’s so true–Christ’s death and our identity in Christ’s death gives way to his resurrection and our victorious resurrection through him. I love the last bit of Revelation and all that re-creation going on!
